Dangerous Driving Hamilton 90/30

This was one of two trials that our Mr Simpson dealt with at Hamilton Sheriff Court on 23rd March 2023. As with the other case, this client faced an allegation of dangerous driving with an allegation that he had driven 'in excess of 90mph in a 30mph limit'. Serious stuff.

An expert report was commissioned and our Mr Simpson used the report and some persuasion to convince the Crown to accept the lesser charge of careless driving.

A plea in mitigation was tendered by Mr Simpson resulting in the Court exercising its discretion and limiting the period of disqualification to a very reasonable 3 months. Our client was also fined £345.

This was a very good result that was obtained through extensive preparation, unparalleled experience, and court craft.

 Reduced Sentence!
