Edinburgh Careless Driving Charge Dropped

Our client was accused of driving carelessly by speeding, entering a bus lane, and colliding with a scooter causing injury to its rider.

Our investigations revealed that the real culprit was actually the scooter rider who was travelling at an excessive speed and undertaking vehicles.

The case was somewhat delayed by the coronavirus pandemic, however, we were able to discuss the case with an experienced and very sensible Procurator Fiscal Depute. Our client's position was put to the Crown and was ultimately accepted, in effect, we managed to persuade the prosecutor of our client's innocence by provindg the scooter rider's guilt.

This case was discontinued on Friday 13th November 2020.
