Inverness Traffic Lawyer Dangerous Driving

Kept Licence
Inverness Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client had originally been charged with dangerous driving involving speeds of up to 114mph on the A95 between Aviemore and Grantown. The suggestion was that he had been racing another vehicle although this was vehemently denied. The charge was serious and he would have been facing - at the very least - a ban of 12 months and a compulsory resit.

We were instructed to enter a plea of not guilty and we spent a great deal of time trying to find a way out of the charge. Fortunately, we discovered a technical line of defence and approached the Procurator Fiscal's Office to discuss matters. The retention of our client's licence was paramount and we negotiated a plea to the statutory alternative of careless driving.

After 10 months of court hearings the case eventually concluded by the imposition of 7 penalty points and a small fine.

We can say with some confidence that other Firms would not have been able to achieve this outcome.
