Not Guilty Careless Driving Collision

Our client was charged with driving without due care and attention by failing to comply with a red light and crashing into another vehicle that had right of way. With no experience of the criminal justice system, our client was very upset by the allegation and due to the sensitive nature of her job, could have had serious repercussions. Having found our Firm online, she called for a free consultation and was given expert advice that she should be defending the case. Her insurance company agreed to fund her defence and we got started on preparing her case. On the day of the trial we were ready to go the distance but brought a matter to the attention of the Crown prior to its commencement. After the first witness, the Procurator Fiscal Depute realised that she could proceed no further and our delighted client was duly acquitted of the charge against her. This case shows the necessity of securing the very best defence available and also that insurance companies may be willing to fund it.
