Technical Defence To Failure To Report

Our client was accused of failing to report an accident. Having initially instructed another solicitor, he changed to our Firm.

When we received the Court papers, we uncovered a fundamental flaw in the Crown case.

The Procurator Fiscal's Office did not want to concede that such an error had been made and asked the Court to assign a Diet of Debate.

Our Mr Simpson attended Glasgow JP Court on 3rd March 2022 to partake in the debate.

The case called and within 60 seconds, the Crown - very properly - conceded the point.

Our client was acquitted of the charge on technical grounds and retained his driving licence.
