A car accident is one of the scariest things that a person can experience. Only marginally less scary, but often far more frustrating, is the claims process. This is often because stories change between the time of the accident – when everyone is shook up and exchanging information- and the time it comes to lodge a claim with insurers. Sometimes discerning fault in a crash is easy enough, other times things happen so quickly that it is almost impossible to place blame.

Unfortunately, for drivers, this often means taking a hit on their insurance as well as their car. Consequently, premiums rise. This results in some drivers paying a higher premium, and losing money, for something that was not their fault.

Thankfully, insurers are aware of this and one of their number – Swiftcover, is attempting to do something about it.
