This is a common site for speed detection as drivers often treat the A725 as a continuation of the motorway rather than taking cognisance of the reduced speed limit. Our client on this occasion was on the receiving end of a VASCAR check which suggested his speed was 85mph in the 50mph limit. Having identified a technical line of defence, our no case to answer submission was upheld and our client was acquitted of the charge.
