Careless Driving Charge Deserted On Technical Grounds

This was a minor allegation of careless driving in Melrose where it was alleged that our client had reversed at speed and blocked oncoming traffic. The prosecution didn't even get off the ground as we submitted a legal objection that the Police had not issued the appropriate legal warning and the case was subsequently deserted simpliciter. The case therefore went no further and our client was acquitted of the charge.
