Careless Driving Dumfries

Kept Licence
Dumfries Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client came to us after pleading guilty to a charge of careless driving by travelling at 80mph in a 50mph limit and overtaking two vehicles in contravention of a solid white line. His driving entitlement was at risk due to previous endorsements on his licence. We managed to persuade the Court that the offence, whilst undoubtedly serious, did not merit a disqualification under the totting-up provisions. Fortunately, our extensive experience in Dumfries paid off and the Court imposed a relatively lenient 5 penalty points and our client escaped a 6 month ban.
