Edinburgh Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was accused of causing and permitting a friend to use his van without there being a valid policy of insurance in place.

He denied the offence which was said to have occured on 4th September 2019.

We were instructed to enter a not guilty plea. With the coronavirus pandemic the case was delayed on several occasions.

On 14th July 2021 our Mr Simpson attended at Edinburgh Justice of the Peace Court and spoke to the Procurator Fiscal Depute regarding our client's position and circumstances.

Following some gentle persuasion, the matter was discontinued.
