Our client was accused of driving dangerously by travelling at 100mph in a 70mph limit when the M8 Eastbound at Junction 2 was covered in snow and ice. Our client denied that his speed had reached that level and following a trial, the Court convicted our client of the statutory alternative of careless driving and imposed 5 penalty points and a modest financial penalty.
