Dangerous Driving X 2 Both Licences Retained

Kept Licence
Edinburgh Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our Mr Simpson attended Edinburgh Sheriff Court on 31st October 2025 in respect of two client both charged with dangerous driving in two unrelated incidents.

Client 1 had failed to stop in time for a red light and caused a collision resulting in a vehicle being written off. The standard of driving wasn't that bad, so the Crown was persuaded to accept the lesser charge of careless driving. His licence was endorsed with 6 penalty points and he was admonished (no fine).

Client 2 had been travelling at a fairly swift 93mph in a 40mph limit. Yikes. Anyway, again, our powers of persuasion resulted in a plea to the lesser charge of careless driving. His licence was also endorsed with 6 penalty points and he was fined £200.

Not a bad day for all concerned.
