Dumfries JP Court Careless Driving

Kept Licence
Dumfries Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was a lovely lady who was accused of careless driving by colliding with another vehicle at a crossroads. Unusually, the only witnesses to the incident were the two drivers who, unsurpisingly, blamed each other. Remarkably, the Crown believed that this was the basis for a criminal prosecution in Scotland. Predictably, the Crown was incorrect.

Our Mr Simpson conducted this trial on 24th January 2024 and, following rigorous cross-examination of the Crown's main witness, the Court did not believe his version of events.

Our client was found NOT GUILTY following her trial.
