Edinburgh Careless Driving Charge Dropped Before Trial

Kept Licence
Edinburgh Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was accused of crossing into the opposing carriageway causing a police vehicle to take evasive action in order to avoid a collision, contrary to the Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 3 (as amended).

The incident was captured on camera. Our opinion of the footage was that, if anyone was at fault, it was the police.

Our Mr Simpson attended at Edinburgh JP Court on 13th December 2021 and persuaded the Procurator Fiscal Depute that there was no merit in the proceedings against our client and that there was no prospect of a conviction.

The case was discontinued and our client was free to go.
