Edinburgh Speeding Case Deserted

This case was scheduled to call for trial in Edinburgh Justice of the Peace Court on 28 November 2019. A number of technical deficiencies with the Crown case had been identified pre-trial and, after some discussion, parties agreed that the case should proceed no further. Our client was, understandably, very concerned about the case as although the allegation involved a fairly borderline excess of speed the consequences of a conviction could have been disastrous due to previous live endorsements. A totting-up scenario was thereby avoided and the firm was delighted to have secured the best possible outcome in all of the circumstances.
