Our client was stopped by Police in his Audi RS4 and accused of driving without insurance. There appeared to be a bit of a mix-up behind the scenes and our client’s driving licence was put at risk due to the presence of six live penalty points already on his licence. Whilst we spent time recovering the call recordings between the accused and his insurance company, it turned out the Crown simply failed to raise the case within the appropriate time bar and the case was simply deserted simpliciter following a successful plea to the competency.
