Our client was charged with speeding at 71.62mph in the 50mph limit on the M77 Motorway at Junction 2. The method of detection in the case was the VASCAR system which calculates the speed of a vehicle with reference to the speed = distance / time formula. These case are ripe for challenge as the Crown often struggle with the more technical aspects of these cases. Our client was found not guilty after trial.
