It was alleged that our client had committed an act of dangerous driving of some severity, namely that he had driven at speeds of up to 100mph in a 30mph limit whilst the police chased him.  That not only his driving licence but also his liberty were at risk was not lost on us.

After our investigations as to what had actually happened, it became apparent that he was travelling at only 80mph within a 60mph limit.  The charge was accordingly reduced to careless driving, and for our client to then retain his driving entitlement in a jurisdiction not known for its clemency represented a significant result.
