Special Reasons Speeding

Kept Licence
Stirling Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

En route to attend to a terminally ill 6 year old, the police stopped the doctor for speeding. Having tried to explain the situation to the police, he simply had to leave the roadside to get to his patient. The doctor had already accepted that he was guilty of the charge of speeding when he called for advice. We recognised this as a textbook situation where the Court would consider restricting the penalty due to the circumstances. We were proved correct when the Court accepted what the doctor had said and refused to impose any punishment upon him.
