A client with 9 penalty points on his driving licence and a fresh speeding allegation being heard at Coatbridge JP Court.  A totting-up ban would have catastrophic consequences for his professional and personal life.

We chose to plead not guilty, as any accused person is entitled to, and at the trial diet the Crown realised they had improperly prepared their case, resulting in an inability to proceed with the prosecution.  The Justice refused the motion to adjourn proceedings to rectify their failure, resulting in our client’s case being deserted simpliciter.
