Here is a recently-reported case from Dumfries Sheriff Court in which our influence proved crucial.

We were instructed by all five motorcyclists involved to defend their dangerous driving charges; had they been so convicted they would each have faced a minimum disqualification of 12 months with a compulsory order to re-sit the extended driving test.

Having succeeded in all charges being reduced to the alternative of careless driving, much more reflective of the standard of their riding at the time, four of our clients retained their driving entitlements, whilst the fifth received a significantly truncated ban.

Our success in this case was also covered by the DailyRecord in this article: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/police-travel-nearly-130-miles-11253439
