107mph Speeding On M74 Dumfries Kept Licence

Kept Licence
Dumfries Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Police officers in this case were engaged in a static speed check when they observed our client’s BMW travelling at excessive speed. The Unipar SL700 speed measuring device confirmed these suspicions and registered a speed of 107mph. The Police followed our client for around a further four miles during which time his speed remained consistently above 104mph. The circumstances of the case were fully explained to the court and we were able to persuade the presiding Justice of the Peace to refrain from imposing a period of disqualification. Six penalty points were imposed on our client’s driving licence
