Dangerous Driving, Failing To Stop For Police

A case where our client was alleged to have driven dangerously in Motherwell by travelling at excessive speed, undertaking a lorry and driving on the wrong side of the road in the face of oncoming traffic.  He then, apparently, failed to stop for the police when required to do so.

After we became involved, this transpired not to be the case.  He was not guilty of failing to stop for the police and not guilty of dangerous driving.  His driving did, however, fall below the standard expected of a competent and careful driver and he received 6 penalty points on his licence for careless driving.  A fantastic outcome when compared to the potential penalties faced initially.
