Dangerous Driving Charge Glasgow Found Not Guilty

Kept Licence
Glasgow Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was accused of dangerous driving in Glasgow by driving at excessive speed and engaging in a race. At the time he was offered a fixed penalty for careless driving which he refused to accept as he felt he hadn't done anything wrong.

When the case made it to Court he found himself facing a dangerous driving charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court. The penalty for dangerous driving is a minimum mandatory 1 year ban.

We defended the accusation at Trial and the Sheriff acquitted our client of dangerous driving and convicted him of the statutory alternative of careless driving. His licence was endorsed with the minimum 3 penalty points and a fine of £150.

A conviction for dangerous driving would have had catastrophic consequences for our client so he was understandably delighted with the outcome.
