Dangerous Driving Client Already On 11 Points

Reduced Sentence
Aberdeen Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was accused of dangerous driving by reversing onto lane 1 of a live dual carriageway where the speed limit was 70mph.

He was already subject to 11 penalty points when he contacted our Firm for assistance.

Our Mr Simpson appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on 26th March 2024 to deal with the case.

Following negotiations with the Crown, our client pleaded guilty to careless driving.

Given the number of penalty points on his licence already, a disqualification was inevitable.

Our Mr Simpson managed to persuade the very experienced Sheriff to exercise his discretion and disqualify for a period on only 3 weeks.

This was an outstanding result for someone who was on 11 points, and faced a charge of dangerous driving.
