Dangerous Driving Dropped At Glasgow Sheriff Court
Our client was accused of drink-driving (which he fully accepted) and dangerous driving (which he did not).
The case began in May 2020 and finally came to a conclusion on 8th September 2021. Despite various approaches made over that period, the Crown were unwilling to negotiate on the charge of dangerous driving.
Our Mr Simpson attended at Glasgow Sheriff Court on 8th September 2021 and persuaded the Procurator Fiscal Depute in Court to drop entirely the charge of dangerous driving.
Our client's plea of guilty to drink-driving was tendered to the Court and, following a plea in mitigation, the Sheriff disqualified him for the statutory minimum 12 months and accepted him onto the drink driving rehabilitation course which shaved a further 3 months from the period of disqualification.
