Drink Driving Inverness Sheriff Court

Kept Licence
Inverness Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client had been captured on video driving in a particularly poor manner. Police were called and discovered our client in a layby drinking straight vodka.

He was arrested and accused of drink-driving.

The Crown case was compelling and proceeded to trial at Inverness Sheriff Court on 22nd April 2024. Our Mr Simpson dealt with the trial and managed to secure an acquittal in respect of drink-driving. At the end of the case, our client's plea of guilty to the lesser charge of being 'in-charge' of a motor vehicle whilst over the prescribed limit was accepted by the prosecutor.

Mitigation was provided to the Court and our client's licence was endorsed with 10 penalty points. Remarkably, he kept his licence.
