Drug Driving Edinburgh Not Guilty

Kept Licence
Edinburgh Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client had been accused of driving under the influence of cannabis. His reading was more than double the limit and he was also accused of careless driving

The combination of charges was extremely serious and he faced not only losing his driving licence, but also his employment and home.

We were instructed on a recommendation, and we set to work.

We discovered a fundamental issue with the Crown case and our Mr Simpson appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on 15th May and successfully argued that the proceedings were incompetent. With considerable hesitation, the Crown conceded the point and our client's case was promptly dropped.

No conviction, no ban, no points, no fine.

Job done.
