Exceptional Hardship at Stranraer

Kept Licence
Stranraer Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

We were approached by the accused in this case to prepare and present a proof on exceptional hardship.  He had accrued 12 live penalty points and was facing a disqualification of 6 months under the 'totting-up' provisions.  Having led evidence and made legal submissions, the presiding Justice found in our favour and exercised his discretion to refrain from imposing a driving ban.  Below is our client's view on our services, for which we are very grateful:

“I was very happy with the way Martin handled my case, he was suitably prepared and professional. When cross-examined by him to state my case of exceptional hardship I was guided clearly by his line of questioning and feel that all the salient points of my case were covered. I believe that if I had used a different law firm I may not have had my case upheld by the court so my thanks go out to Michael Lyon Solicitors, and Martin in particular.”
