Fort William Careless Driving Case Dropped

Kept Licence
Fort William Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was charged (in 2019) with driving carelessly and colliding with a motorcyclist contrary to the Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 3 (as amended).

We were instructed to enter a plea of not guilty.

The evidence against our client was, from the outset, insufficient in law for a conviction to follow.

We made several approaches to the Crown to have the matter discontinued. Ultimately, our invitation was accepted and on 20th July 2021 the case against our client was dropped.

A two year fight for justice came to a fair and just conclusion.
