Perth Speeding Trial 9 Points Found Not Guilty

Kept Licence
Perth Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

This case called for trial in Perth J.P. Court on 24 January 2023.

A simple speeding charge on the M90 whereby the Police checked our client’s speed at 93mph by utilising the type approved Unipar SL700. The case presented a risk to our client’s driving licence on the basis he was subject to 9 live points at the time of the new offence.

We were instructed to proceed to trial. The case was very well prepared by the Crown and involved experienced Police officers, one of whom was a trainer in the Unipar device. That said, it would appear that mistakes had been made which were fatal to the prospects of the Crown securing a conviction.
