9 Points Caught Speeding

Our client was caught speeding whilst already on 9 penalty points. He faced a minimum 6 month ban under the totting-up provisions but did not have a stateable case for Exceptional Hardship

Our Mr Simpson attended Forfar JP Court on 14th October 2022 and persuaded the Justice of the Peace to exercise his discretion and forgo the normal consequences of speeding at 81/70 (i.e. 3 penalty points). 

Our client was disqualified for a period of 2 months and fined £300. The relatively short nature of the disqualification allowed out client to keep his job and he was a relieved and delighted man.
