9 Points Caught Speeding Not Guilty After Trial

Kept Licence
Inverness Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was already on 9 points when he was detected speeding at 54mph in a 30mph limit.

He contacted our office anxious to retain his driving entitlement. We advised that a plea of Not Guilty should be entered.

On examination of the evidence, it became apparent that there were several potential difficulties for the Crown.

Our Mr Simpson attended at Inverness JP Court on 15th August 2022 for the trial. This was a (fairly) rare occasion where no cross-examination was required. The Crown case closed, and a 'No Case To Answer' submission was made to the Court on behalf of our client. The Court agreed and acquitted our client.

All's well that ends...
