Our client was charged with failing to observe a red light and striking a pedestrian causing her to fall to the groung to her injury. All too often the Crown seek to rely upon the shock factor of the injuries to elevate their case to something more serious. In this particular case our client was found not guilty of dangerous driving. We had previously tendered a plea of guilty to careless driving from the outset and our client received a six point penalty endorsement.
