Our client was on 9 penalty points at the time of the offence, 3 of which were due to expire only 4 days after this incident. We thoroughly investigated the case and advised that a plea of guilty be tendered in order to focus our efforts on mitigation. We successfully persuaded the Court to impose a period of discretionary disqualification as opposed to a minimum 6 month disqualification under the totting-up provisions. 

The Court banned our client for a period of 4 weeks and imposed a modest financial penalty. In the circumstances, this was an outstanding result.
