Edinburgh Crash Dangerous Driving

Kept Licence
Edinburgh Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was accused of having fallen asleep and causing a very serious collision. The evidence against him was fairly compelling.

We negotiated hard with the Crown and managed to persuade the prosecution to reduce the charge to careless driving.

Our Mr Simpson attended Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday 22nd January 2024 and addressed the Court in mitigation.

The Sheriff had to be persuaded not to disqualify due to the catastrophic nature of this incident. Our client escaped without a ban and had 9 penalty points put on his licence and was fined £580.
