Elgin Dangerous Driving 6 Penalty Points

Kept Licence
Elgin Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was accused of dangerous driving as he had accidentally driven his tractor over an oncoming vehicle.

We were instructed to defend the case and try to secure the retention of his licence.

The facts of the case were not in dispute, only the standard of driving was in issue.

Our Mr Simpson attended at Elgin Sheriff Court on 20th May 2024 and persuaded a senior Procurator Fiscal to reduce the charge to careless driving.

The Sheriff was addressed in mitigation and endorsed our client's licence with 6 penalty points, and fined him £640.

An excellent outcome in a tricky case.
