Forfar Dangerous Driving Charge Found Not Guilty

Kept Licence
Forfar Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was a local businessman who was accused of dangerous driving in Forfar. He denied the allegation and contacted our office for advice. The crux of the Crown case related to the speed at which he had been accused of travelling. Following a real battle at Forfar Sheriff Court, the Sheriff had formed a reasonable doubt about our client's guilt and he was duly acquitted. No dangerous driving ban was imposed and our client was understandably delighted with the outcome. To be found not guilty of dangerous driving (and not guilty of the statutory alternative of careless driving) is the best possible result. Job done.
