Speeding Charge Dundee Not Guilty

Kept Licence
Dundee Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Speeding Offence Dundee A90

Our client was given a fixed penalty by the police for the heinous crime of travelling at a whopping 60mph in a 50mph limit on the A90 at the Kingsway. Ordinarily, he would have simply accepted the fixed penalty for 3 points but he had another case pending (also for speeding in Dundee) and already had 6 penalty points on his licence.

We were recommended by a family member who had used our services in the past. Once a fixed penalty has been refused, an allegation of speeding in Dundee is normally prosecuted at Dundee Justice of the Peace Court. We appeared for the Trial armed with a number of technical lines of defence. At the conclusion of the Crown case we successfully argued that there was no case for our client to answer. The Court formally acquitted our client of speeding in Dundee.

If you receive a fixed penalty for a speeding offence in Dundee or elsewhere in Tayside, contact the road traffic lawyer for specialist legal advice. Our intervention could prevent penalty points being added to your driving licence.

Despite stating that he was very experienced, one road traffic officer claimed that he could not tell the Court the difference between a saloon and an estate car. This was a great result. There was no risk to our client's licence and was defended solely on a point of principle....
