Speeding Inverness 100mph In 60mph Limit Average Speed

Kept Licence
Inverness Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was accused of speeding at 100mph in a 60mph limit, and faced an almost certain disqualification.

We examined the case and advised that a 'Not Guilty' plea was appropriate. Following a review of the evidence in the case, it appeared that there was a technical line of defence to explore at trial.

Our Mr Simpson attended at the Justice Centre on 23rd October 2023. The Crown had failed to properly prepare its case and offered a plea to a reduced speed. We advised our client to decline the offer.

Following legal arguments, the Court accepted Mr Simpson's submissions and deserted the case simpliciter

No ban, no points, no fine.
